This privacy statement explains how Giles and Watson Audiology collects, stores, uses and shares your personal information.

The Privacy Act 2020 along with the Health Information Privacy Code requires us – like any other New Zealand organization – to tell you certain things about the personal information we collect to carry out our functions.

  • We only collect personal information where this is necessary to carry out our functions

  • We may collect personal information about you directly from you, and we may generate personal information about you when we carry out our functions

  • We store all our data (including your personal information) on a secure cloud platform. We protect our data with all reasonable technical and process controls

  • We will not pass on your personal details to a third party except when necessary. This is typically providers or funders of your chosen services, but can also include debt collectors if required, or at our discretion if requested by the authorities.
